Welcome to the Dampier Highway Duplication Project

The Dampier Highway Duplication is a State and Federal Government funded project designed to improve the safety of the highway and create essential infrastructure to support the growing population and industry in this part of the Pilbara.

At a glance:

12.3kms between Balmoral Road West and Burrup Road intersections will be duplicated
$40m contract for Stage 1 (Balmoral Road West to Bayly Avenue) awarded to Highway Works Albem (HWA) Joint Venture
Work commencing April 2011
Anticipated completion Spring/Summer 2012
The section from Bayly Avenue to Burrup Road is included in the current contract as an optional works pending Federal environmental approval.
